After surviving a debilitating accident at the age of 5 Jennifer was enrolled in dance classes to regain her freedom of movement. She started with modern classes and moved on to ballet, studying with some of the most experienced teachers in NYC.
Jennifer’s interest in exercise training began in the early 80's with Pilates sessions at Corolla Trier's studio. She studied teacher training with Peter Vaillancourt, learning about teaching Pilates to dancers using the reformer and trapeze.
After dancing professionally for nearly 20 years, Jennifer retired as a soloist from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.
In 2001 Jen earned a masters of science in physical therapy from the University of Rhode Island. She has specialty training in Dance Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, Functional Dry Needling, Stott Pilates Certification, Pilates Academy International Suspension, Manual Physical Therapy and Orthopedics.
