Marni Lawson

Children’s Program Teacher

Marni began ballet training at the age of 9 with the Ruth Vickery School of Ballet in Barre, VT. She continued dancing in college receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance, Cum Laude, from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University in 1993. She began her teaching career with Donna Decker School of Ballet in Oneonta, NY, 1998-2002. While residing in upstate NY, she choreographed two musical theater plays for Orpheus Theatre, including ‘A Christmas Carol’ and ‘The 1940’s Radio Hour’. From 2009-2020 she taught for Ballet Prestige Rhode Island. Marni is certified to teach Level A (1 st , 2 nd and 3 rd year of study) by the Bolshoi Ballet Academy of Moscow.
