Contemporary Dance Workshop

with Daniel Rubin


Join acclaimed contemporary dance artist and choreographer Daniel Rubin, current Second Soloist with Boston Ballet and former Leading Soloist with Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg, for an intensive two-day workshop designed for advanced dancers ages 13–19. Daniel has also served as a judge and masterclass teacher for Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), bringing a wealth of professional performance, choreographic, and teaching experience to the studio.

This workshop focuses on developing musicality, dynamic movement, and refined movement quality while exploring challenging contemporary choreography. Dancers will strengthen their technical precision, artistry, and expressive performance skills through an engaging and inspiring contemporary dance experience.

Open to all advanced contemporary dancers seeking to expand their versatility and deepen their artistic voice.

Teen Beginner Ballet


Ages 12-17

This open class is ideal for dancers who are new to ballet or have some prior experience. The class focuses on building a strong foundation in classical ballet through barre and center work, while developing coordination, posture, strength, and musicality. Dancers will be supported at their individual level, with opportunities to progress at their own pace in a positive and encouraging environment. Perfect for those beginning their ballet journey or continuing to grow their skills. Not a drop in class. Enrollment is required.

Creative Movement

For boys and girls 4-6 years old

Creative Movement is a joyful introduction to dance designed especially for dancers ages 4–6. This class blends imaginative movement with coordination and musicality, helping young dancers develop foundational skills such as posture and balance in a fun, nurturing environment.

Perfect for first-time dancers or children ready to explore ballet through play, structure, and creative expression.

Beginner Ballet

For boys and girls 7-11 years old

Beginner Ballet introduces dancers ages 7–11 to the fundamentals of classical ballet in a structured and supportive environment. This class focuses on basic technique, posture, coordination, musicality, and ballet vocabulary while encouraging focus and confidence. Dancers will learn proper alignment and movement quality as they build strength, flexibility, and a strong foundation for continued ballet training.

Ideal for new dancers or those with limited ballet experience who are ready for a more structured class setting.

Jazz

This high-energy jazz class introduces dancers ages 7–11 to the fundamentals of jazz dance in a fun and engaging environment. The class encourages confidence, expression, and performance quality while building strength and flexibility.

Alice in Wonderland Ballet Workshop


For boys and girls 5–8 years old

Step into a fairy tale at our Alice in Wonderland Workshop! Designed for young dancers ages 5–8, this magical experience includes a ballet class inspired by the story, themed crafts, and a special viewing of a clip from the ballet.

Dancers will decorate a pointe shoe to take home as a keepsake and prepare a short Alice-inspired dance to share with families at the end of the workshop.

It’s a perfect introduction to ballet through storytelling, creativity, and fun—no prior dance experience needed!!
